Peter regularly presents to both business and student groups, has written over a dozen e-books as well as ’00s of blogs and articles on the subject of business and profit. Despite all of this he has always hankered after a more exciting life.

Peter has many years of experience in not only all the financial aspects of running a successful business but also in growth strategies. In particular marketing, strategic thinking implementation and control, and leveraging technology for growth, are areas he specialises in.

In 2023, Peter was named in the Top 10 International Business Advisors of the Year in the Helm’s annual global ranking of independent accountancy and business advisors.  

Peter drives a classic British Racing Green Morgan Plus 4 when the sun comes out. Give him a friendly toot when you see him parked behind an AA van.

Brendon has over thirty years experience helping business owners better understand their numbers, improve their profitability and grow. He has worked with a huge number of businesses and this experience means he knows the strategies that work and those that don’t. 

The availability of real time information means he can now interpret and advise clients based on up-to-date numbers crucial to successfully steering your business in the direction you want. Brendon has a particular interest in operations, control and monitoring systems, leveraging technology and the systemisation of processes.

He has found that sometimes business owners can feel overwhelmed by the financial information, especially when all they really want to do is get on with running their business. 

Brendon likes – Arsenal FC, reading psychological thrillers, chocolate, Guinness and anything to do with geography. He dislikes – Spurs (obviously), sweet and sour chicken, Christmas jumpers and Sunday drivers.

Senior Client Manager, ACCA and ATT qualified which basically means Becca is a Chartered Certified Accountant , tax qualified, along with both the Xero and QuickBooks Online certifications.

Becca manages a wide variety of clients from meetings and cloud support to completion of accounts and bookkeeping. She has a particular interest in clients in the construction industry. If you have a particular clean up project, Becca is most likely the one wanting to get involved and loves "fixing" things.

In her free time Becca is usually chasing after her two dogs on walks or at agility. Also enjoys gigs or shooting with her husband but nowadays settles for a good box set.

Laura has been with Wood and Disney for half of her life and still enjoys the wide variety of work that she gets involved in.

When you arrive Laura will be the one who greets you with a smile and makes you a coffee or tea. She also runs over 70 payrolls for various clients.

Laura loves Pilates, films, reading and secretly aspires to be the next Mary Berry at baking! She has a tortoise called Bailey!

With a BCom degree in Business Management and currently studying towards my ACCA qualification, I bring a balance of academic knowledge and practical experience to the work I do. Over the past 4 years, I’ve worked in accounting, while also spending another 5 years helping to manage and run operations within a business—an experience that’s given me a broad understanding of both the numbers and the people behind them.

Outside of work, you’ll most likely find me outdoors—cycling, running, or hiking. I’m passionate about nature and how it helps put life into perspective. I also love connecting with people and believe in the value of working together. I thrive in team environments where I can contribute with a detail-focused, task-oriented mindset.

I believe that even the smallest gestures—like a friendly smile—can brighten someone’s day and make a meaningful difference. That’s the kind of energy I try to bring into everything I do.

I hold a Diploma in Accounting Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Accounting (Bcompt in Fin Acc). 

I started working at an accounting firm all the way back in Jan 2015 (right after finishing school).

Other than enjoying working with numbers, I enjoy spending time with my family whether it be going on a hike or simply going for a walk on the beach. 

Virginia has worked for Wood and Disney for nearly 20 years. If we do your personal tax return, it will be Virginia who chases you for information and reminds you if you don’t respond.

Married with four children so Virginia is extremely organised and used to dealing with lots of excuses, so be warned. If she ever gets spare time she enjoys spending it with her family, walking, baking and sailing.
