Peter is CEO of Wood & Disney, a Chartered Accountant (ACA), Certified Business and Finance Professional, Certified Profit Consultant and Accredited Business Navigator Provider.

He works closely with business owners on strategy, profitability, growth, financial control and long-term business direction. Peter has created business diagnostic and advisory systems including TroubleShooterPlus and Plus4Business, and regularly writes and speaks on business, profit and strategic planning.

In 2023, Peter was named in the Top 10 International Business Advisors of the Year in Helm’s global ranking of independent accountancy and business advisers.

Peter’s particular strengths are strategic thinking, implementation, marketing, technology and helping business owners turn ideas into practical action.

Away from work, Peter drives a classic British Racing Green Morgan Plus 4 whenever the sun comes out. Give him a friendly toot when you see him parked behind an AA van.

Brendon is COO, Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Certified Business and Finance Professional with more than 30 years’ experience helping business owners understand their numbers, improve profitability and make better decisions.

He has worked with a wide range of businesses and brings practical experience of what works - and what does not. Brendon has a particular interest in real-time financial information, operations, control systems, technology and the systemisation of business processes.

His role is to help clients turn financial information into something useful: clearer decisions, stronger control and better direction.

Outside work, Brendon enjoys Arsenal FC, psychological thrillers, chocolate, Guinness and geography. He is less enthusiastic about Spurs, sweet and sour chicken, Christmas jumpers and Sunday drivers.

Becca is a Senior Client Manager, Chartered Accountant (ACCA), and certified in both Xero and QuickBooks.

She manages a wide range of clients with accounts, tax, bookkeeping, cloud accounting and regular client meetings. Becca has a particular interest in construction clients and enjoys projects where records, systems or processes need bringing back under control.

Clients value Becca’s practical approach, technical knowledge and determination to get things properly organised.

Away from work, Becca is usually walking or agility training her two dogs, going to gigs, or enjoying a good box set.

Amanda is AAT qualified, Xero and QuickBooks certified, and has more than 30 years’ experience working in accountancy practice.

She supports clients with accounts, bookkeeping and the day-to-day accounting matters that help keep a business organised and under control. Amanda brings a calm, experienced and practical approach to client work.

Outside work, Amanda enjoys the beach, long walks with her partner and cooking for her family. 

Laura has been with Wood & Disney for nearly 30 years and remains involved in a wide variety of work across the firm.

She is often the first person clients meet when they visit the office, and she helps make sure people feel welcome from the moment they arrive. Laura also manages more than 70 client payrolls, bringing organisation, consistency and care to an area where accuracy and deadlines matter.

Outside work, Laura enjoys Pilates, films, reading and baking. She secretly aspires to be the next Mary Berry and has a tortoise called Bailey.

Lauren holds a BCom in Accounting, is a qualified Professional Accountant through SAIPA, and has 10 years’ experience in practice.

She enjoys the variety of accountancy work, but most of all she enjoys working with people. Lauren likes understanding what matters to clients, what they are trying to build and how good financial information can support better decisions.

She believes accountants are anything but boring: without people keeping the numbers clear and the finances under control, business would be a much messier place.

Away from work, Lauren would happily spend more time at the beach or outdoors. She enjoys hiking, nature drives and anything that helps put life back into perspective.

Kineta is a Professional Accountant through SAIPA and holds a Bachelor of Technology in Cost and Management Accounting and a National Diploma in Financial Accounting.

She enjoys helping clients bring clarity and confidence to their finances, and she continues to develop professionally with plans to pursue her MBA.

Away from work, Kineta enjoys travelling, exploring new places and spending time with her family - gaining fresh perspectives that she brings back to her work.

Christie-Leigh has a BCom degree in Business Management and is studying towards her ACCA qualification.

She brings both accounting experience and practical business operations experience to her work. Before focusing on accountancy, she spent several years helping to manage and run business operations, giving her a useful understanding of both the numbers and the people behind them.

Christie-Leigh is detail-focused, task-oriented and enjoys working as part of a team.

Outside work, she loves being outdoors - cycling, running or hiking - and believes that even small gestures, such as a friendly smile, can make a meaningful difference.

Virginia has worked with Wood & Disney for nearly 30 years and supports clients with personal tax matters.

If we prepare your personal tax return, Virginia is likely to be the person making sure the right information is gathered, deadlines are met and nothing important is missed. She is organised, persistent and very good at keeping things moving.

Virginia is used to staying calm, organised and on top of plenty of competing demands. Outside work, she enjoys time with her family, walking, baking and sailing.
