CLOUD ACCOUNTING SOLUTIONS

Our Solutions ~ Cloud Accounting

We are experts (with certificates to prove it) in all the leading cloud accounting solutions.

We have been using cloud accounting software since 2008, in fact we were one of the first practices in the UK to see the potential of the cloud and start to move our clients onto cloud accounting systems. We have many years of experience  and solutions helping our clients set-up and transition to the cloud with the minimum of cost and disruption to their businesses. All of our staff are trained in cloud systems and cloud accounting solutions and the majority of our clients now operate on-line accountancy software.

We believe that one of the most powerful tools for a successful business is up to date, accurate, real time data.

All of our clients are now using or upgrading to cloud accountancy based systems giving them access to accurate, up to date data 24/7. Traditionally accountants have worked on their clients’ accounts several months in arrears preventing any form of planning and sensible decision making because the numbers are so out of date. Wood and Disney and our clients, are embracing and leveraging cloud accounting solutions to have access to your data in real time. The advice we give focuses on ensuring you not only gain the maximum efficiency from using cloud accounting (and the associated Apps) but also that you understand the valuable real time information at your fingertips because it will help you make better decisions and therefore better profits. It enables us to plan and forecast with far greater accuracy, helping you to take action and be resilient to downturns in business, plan to minimise your tax liabilities, monitor and control your business activities (cash flow, output, profitability of contracts, quality...) and sleep better at night knowing that you are in control and really know the true financial position of your company.

Wood and Disney's qualified team have proven cloud accounting solutions to support existing cloud accounting users who perhaps feel that they need more help and support to gain the most benefit from their system as well as help those who are still using traditional desktop or even manual systems but recognise they need to move into the 21st Century otherwise they will be left behind by their competitors.

Why move to a Cloud Accounting System?

The advantages of cloud accounting ...

 Available 24/7

Easy access anytime, anywhere with just an internet browser. No need to worry about which operating system you use to access your software. Accessible from your PC, laptop, Mac, tablet, iPad or any mobile phone. In the office, on the move, at home or even on holiday, your financial information is always available to you.

Easy to understand and intuitive to use

Written with the Cloud in mind rather than based upon a traditional PC software means the language used is modern and easy to understand compared to the traditional software which used confusing accountancy jargon.

Try it for free

Easy to test and experience for free. Most Cloud systems allow you to play with the software for up to 14 days (and sometimes longer) completely free of charge and with no commitment.

Small monthly fee

Once you do decide which cloud based software is best for your business you just pay a small monthly fee. There is no need to buy expensive software and pay upfront. The small monthly fee also includes all upgrades, updates and back up. No annual contract so you can cancel at any time.

Cloud based apps help you get the most from your data

Cloud based software links to Apps which can improve the accuracy of your data inputting such as:
  • Create and send your sales invoices while on the move from your mobile phone and the system tells you when they are opened by your customer.
  • Automate credit control by emailing reminders direct from the system.
  • Bank streams (reconcile your bank by importing data directly from your bank, credit card or PayPal and reconciling at the touch of a button).
  • Receipt photography where you can record expenses on the move and which saves your receipts as PDFs next to your transactions.
  • Many of the Cloud based systems link to industry specific Apps such as construction, manufacturing, property, retail and many more.
  • Combine payroll and bookkeeping for reduced manual data entry with less errors and greater accuracy

Have totally up to date, live data

Rather than basing decisions on historical data you will have instant access to “live data” so you will see at the touch of a button a true and up to date picture of exactly how your business is doing. Your accounts instantly reflect the latest transactions. You can then share data with your accountant leading to better communication and faster, more effective decision making. Your accountant therefore spends less time on tidying up your book keeping and more time on the really important tax planning, business advice and financial advice.

Risk reduction

Your data is automatically backed up by the software supplier so you never have to worry about losing your data. Upgrades and updates automatically applied for simplicity and efficiency.

Essential for Quarterly reporting under MTD

And finally it will be the only way that you will cope with the demands from HMRC for quarterly accounting information for Making Tax Digital (MTD) in the future.

Now more than ever the advantages of cloud based bookkeeping are giving progressive businesses the edge over their competitors who are relying on old-fashioned manual or software based financial records

Making Tax Digital

Are you ready?

Announced in 2015 it took until the summer of 2019 before the first element of Making Tax Digital was enforced on unwilling tax payers. Making VAT Digital was rolled out to great fanfare and a loud raspberry. Exemptions, allowances and generally a bit of a damp squib but HMRC saw it as a great success and therefore a good start to their master plan of enforcing digital reporting on every aspect of tax. Hopefully everyone reading this is now compliant and happily filing VAT returns using a digital method. If your solution is problematic or you are still to join the digital vat club then we strongly recommend that you look at the solutions provided by the two biggest and best cloud accounting systems in the world: QuickBooks and Xero.

We are experts in cloud accounting and have been helping our clients switch to and run cloud systems for over 10 years.

If you are unsure about moving into the cloud or are an existing user who needs more support we can help you choose the right package for your business, set up your system, train you in its use and support you until you feel confident.
